The countdown to kick-off will officially begin for the highly anticipated HARMONY 2025 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT is set to return for its 10th edition from October 17 to November 29, 2025.

The biannual competition, now rebranded as the JAMERIA HARMONY 2025 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT, represents a historic collaboration between Jamaica and Nigeria, combining their rich football traditions into a unified and electrifying tournament to be called “Jameira”.

The 2025 edition is proudly sponsored by Tharmm Equest, the UK’s premier Black Entertainment company. With its backing, the tournament will see expanded media coverage, social media engagement, and exciting prizes. Semi-finalists will receive exclusive Tharmm Equest-branded shirts, while standout performers will be recognised with awards including Man of the Match, Tournament most Outstanding Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Best Coach/Manager. The tournament will conclude with an exclusive after-event celebration, uniting teams, officials, and participants in a grand finale.

Held at Baruwa Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria, this year’s event will feature sixteen teams battling for supremacy in a tournament designed to showcase grassroots football talent and provide young athletes with professional opportunities within the sports industry.

Ajayi Olumide, Nigerian and African representative of Tharmm Equest and the tournament’s lead coordinator, expressed enthusiasm about the sponsorship. “It’s an honour to have a prestigious UK company like Tharmm Equest acknowledge the importance of grassroots football and invest in these young athletes' futures,” Olumide stated. “This collaboration has the power to change lives.”

Trevor Walters, Tournament Director, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the tournament’s potential for growth. "This year’s tournament will be bigger and better than ever before,” Walters also said. “We foresee teams from outside Nigeria participating in future editions, and we expect an influx of scouts searching for the next big national and club-level football stars.”

Adding to the excitement, Walters revealed the introduction of the tournament’s first official mascot, a robotic bot named ‘IRIE’, symbolising peace, harmony, and positivity. Designed by Jamaican and Nigerian youths, IRIE will bring a fresh and engaging element to the event, particularly for younger fans.
